Notes
(points of interest etc.) |
Sister
Croxford was a well known identity in Prospect and her ointments for
dermatitis, baby eczema and scalp problems were advertised widely. From the time of her death until at least in
the 1950s “Sister Croxford Medicine Supply” ointments were sold exclusively
by Freeman’s Chemist, 201 Prospect Road. Sister
Croxford’s father is reported to have “disappeared” while swimming in 1914
but apparently returned and is reported dying in a car accident in April 1927
at Baulkham Hills NSW. He is described as living apart from his wife and with
another woman. He is acknowledged on the grave in Dudley Park Cemetery with
Sister Croxford and her mother as having died March 1926 in Sydney.. |
